IPEMA Certified Products

Turf in Caicos stands out as a Contract Manufacturer with exclusive access to IPEMA certification through our parent entity, Controlled Products. This special acquisition has allowed us to confidently specify our own products while upholding the highest safety standards and authentication procedures. Our customers benefit from premium playground systems offering superior shock absorbency and Critical Fall Heights of up to 12 feet!

Playgrounds are becoming increasingly safer due to the advanced systems used. These systems can reduce head impact severity and optimize performance by using three essential components – turf, shock absorbent underlayment and infill. The Critical Fall Height rating for these system ranges from 8-12 feet depending on the pile height of the turf, thickness of padding underneath, along with how much infilling is installed.

Finding the ideal safety features for a playground project can be tricky. Fortunately, Turf in Caicos specialists are available to help you determine which shock pad thickness and infill quantity will fulfill your specific requirements concerning turf density, surface type (cement or aggregate) and minimum safety standards.

Why is Using the Right Materials important

Playgrounds provide a space for children to explore and develop, so safety is paramount. To prevent head injuries during falls from play equipment on the playground, many surfaces are designed with Critical Fall Height in mind; this rule of thumb ensures that any fall has an adequately protective surface beneath it.

CFH measures the vertical distance between a play area’s ground or other surface and its highest point – providing kids with peace of mind when they’re out having fun!

Kids love to play on playgrounds and enjoy jumping around, but safety is a top priority. The critical fall height rating of the surface beneath equipment like swing sets or trampolines will vary based on the maximum heights children may reach–and this rating determines how safe that surface is. Higher CFH ratings mean more protection for young ones as they jump into fun without worry!
