Meet Kristoff

Kristoff Malcolm, Owner

A native of Turks and Caicos, Kristoff followed his dream to play hockey by relocating to Canada at the age of 15. As a much-sought-after player, he continued to build his hockey skills with opportunities for play in Philadelphia, and then Wyoming. Kristoff attended Florida Gulf Coast University, graduating in 2021 with bachelor’s degrees in finance and accounting. He received offers to play hockey professionally in several minor leagues. However, after spending more than a decade away from his family, he wanted to put his education to good use as close to home as possible. He moved back to Providenciales in the fall of 2022, and set out to help the country in any way he could.

Kristoff quickly found that he wanted to create a business that encouraged the beautification and sustainability of the island. He began by starting his power washing company, Caicos Pro Wash, with sustainability in mind: motivating the locals to maintain their properties and belongings rather than replace them. With Caicos Pro Wash up and running, Kristoff looked for other avenues to facilitate green initiatives. His partner, Nikki Kearney, and her family had been in the artificial grass company for over two decades. He learned about the environmental benefits of turf and saw its potential on the Turks and Caicos. Under the tutelage of the Kearney family,  an established distributor of Synlawn artificial grass in the Northeast region of the United States, Kristoff learned about their groundbreaking technology and research in the field of artificial turf.

In December of 2022 Kristoff became the local owner of Turf in Caicos. Turf in Caicos’ mission is to promote the sustainability of the Turks and Caicos Islands through the distribution of Synlawn products, “the cleanest, safest, most sustainable synthetic grass on planet Earth.”
